SmartNow Schools Programme

Delivering open access education programmes to enable individuals and organisations to track their carbon footprint and understand the financial and environmental impacts of specific actions.

 

We are currently developing our new not-for-profit venture the:
SmartNow School Energy Education Program.

Through this project, our immediate aims are to increase energy efficiency in schools, enable schools to understand their power consumption and make changes in order to minimise energy waste and hence make save money on their energy bill.

We wish to raise awareness of the impact of our actions on the environment amongst the younger generation and to provoke interest in sustainability and making a difference. We are also keen to buffer the effect of rising electricity prices on young families who are likely to be most affected.

A major feature of this initiative is an online, interactive learning management system, featuring presentations, activities, lesson plans, resources, forums, discussion boards, to name but a few.

We have designed this to fit into pre-existing curriculum requirements and to be easy to use, fun and flexible – you can use as much or as little as you like: link one of the assignments to your project or perhaps just click and play a learn-cast for a cover lesson. The opportunities are endless!

In addition, we plan to offer school monitoring solutions and special SmartNow offers for teachers and parents.
