The TREC receives this information wirelessly from a transmitter placed in your meter box and is updated every 6 seconds to keep you informed and help you save. Mains powered using a lot less than one watt of energy, the display helps you change habits to eliminate waste.

The TREC can be connected to up to ten transmitters or Individual Appliance Monitors (IAMs) at once. This enables you to monitor ten different circuits or appliances from the one TREC.

You can also have more than one TREC receiving information from your transmitters and IAMs. For example, you can have one TREC in the kitchen, and another in the study so you can see your power consumption at a glance. The transmitters and IAMs have a range of 25m in an indoor environment (100m line-of-sight), enabling you to position your TREC where it is most convenient for you.

If you are already using the ENVI monitoring solution, you can use the Trec to work with your existing Current Cost network and deliver information across your home using its C2 technology, so that you can see your energy use wherever you are at home.
