The Current Cost ENVI-R
The Current Cost EnviR provides you with a detailed view of your energy consumption and cost. The EnviR enables you to identify power waste so that you can save money and save energy
Be Informed:
The EnviR receives information wirelessly from a transmitter placed in your meter box every six seconds, keeping you updated with how much power you are using and how much you are spending, in real-time.The EnviR can provide 100% accurate billing information if you have a pulse meter and using the forthcoming Optical Readers (expected early 2011).
You can also view your energy use and cost information per day, per month, per year - helping you save. The bar graph on your EnviR display shows virtually nothing during the night when you are asleep and during the day when you are away. If it is showing power use, are you leaving something on that could be turned off?
Your Appliances:
The EnviR can be connected to up to ten transmitters, Individual Appliance Monitors (IAMs) or optical reader at once. This enables you to monitor ten different circuits or appliances from the one EnviR. The transmitters and IAMs have a range of 25m in an indoor environment (100m line-of-sight), enabling you to position your EnviR where it is most convenient for you. How much does your fridge cost? You can also have more than one EnviR receiving information from your transmitters and IAMs. For example, you can have one EnviR display in the kitchen, and another in the study so you can see your power consumption at a glance. The EnviR can be connected to a computer using the optional USB cable, enabling you to analyse your power consumption data in more detail and help you identify particular times or days when your power use is higher.Stay Informed:
The EnviR can be connected to an Internet Router using the optional Bridge to upload your data direct to the internet, so you can view your power consumption on a remote computer or your Smart Phone without having your computer running at home. Installation Question
It is important you observe some simple precautions before using the product.
The Current Cost monitor does not require you to carry out any electrical wiring. However, it is to be used in and around the electricity supply to your property. Installation is simple yet if you are in Australia, for liability reasons it is required to be carried out by a qualified electrician.Do not attempt to repair or service any part of the SmartNow equipment. Contact our customer service department for assistance.
- Do not immerse the product in water, or any other liquids
- Do not expose the product to heat, flame, steamy conditions or extreme cold
- Do not open the equipment or touch any of its electronic circuitry
- Do not hit, strike or drop the equipment - if the display gets broken, take special care not to touch the liquid crystals
- Do not use this product for any purpose other than for which it was intended.
Buttons are:
1. Up and down changes appliance view
2. OK changes between one, seven and 30 days
3. Press and hold OK to set the clock
4. Press and hold down to sensor-tune the whole house, or the currently-displayed appliance number
5. Press and hold up to set normal price (19.0 cents default, also sets low price the same)
6. Press and hold up and down to set low price (and start times, if prices are different)
7. Press and hold OK and down to download history to PC. Please note: all processor activity is halted during this download, even the clock, with a lot of history, the download may take some time! Self-resets when done
8. Press and hold Up during switch-on to display whole LCD for two seconds then software version number. Cycle power to restart.
9. Press and hold up and down during switch-on to do the above, then wipe all History and Tuning IDs and burn in fresh defaults, previous DSB is saved. Data is not physically erased, only the pointers are quickly set to zero, like deleting a hard disk file.
