SmartNow was created to empower you to save money and benefit the environment by understanding and controlling your electricity use.
We believe that if we provide you with the right tools to understand your electricity use then you will be able to make smart choices with positive financial and environmental impacts.

Our aim is to engage the community through a variety of means, including our retail activity, school education schemes and community initiatives, in order to:

How?

By providing real-time energy use and cost information on a simple, easy-to-understand display thereby illustrating the financial costs of wasting electricity and triggering a change in behaviour to exert more control over our energy use.

Here in Australia we have the highest per-capita emissions of any country, with a mammoth 27 tons of CO2 produced per person. This is largely due to factors such as our reliance on coal fired power stations to generate our electricity. Such emissions have a negative impact on the environment and on our lives. Using less electricity will contribute to lowering these harmful emissions and reducing the impact on our environment.
